Herbert was surrendered due to his medical needs. He is about a year old. Very sweet boy. His mites were so severe that his quills were falling out. He is reacting well to medicine and new quills are growing in. He is also prone to Uterine infections so he will need to be monitored and given medicine. 

Havana

Sedona

Sedona and Havana are sisters and have been together since they were born. They are almost two. They are bonded and must stay together. These girls will need two of everything. Two wheels, two water bottles, two hides. They have always shared an enclosure. They are very sweet and love to snuggle and explore.

Penelope

Available for adoption

Penelope is a very tiny Pinto girl. She came in with her brother Oliver when they were 4 weeks old. She is a very tiny runt! She was barely 36 grams when she came to our rescue. Her mom was not feeding her or her brother and they both had to be supplemented with KMR (kitten milk). Penelope was syringe fed every 3 hours until she was 7 weeks. She is now eating soaked kitten food and doing well on her own. We initially thought she may have had neurological problems but it seems she was just a late bloomer. She is walking around great and she is a very sweet snuggler. She has made a lot of progress but is still very small. She still weighs less than 100 grams and at 8 weeks she should be well over 200 grams like her brother. Penelope will stay at Miami Hedgehog Rescue until she weighs 200 grams once her health improves.

**Update: As of 7/5/18, she is 15 weeks old

Penelope only has 20 grams to go! She is eating solid kibble and drinking water on her own. She will be available as soon as she makes weight. This girl loves her mealies! Penelope needs to go to a special home who can provide vet visits every 6 months to monitor her health.  **

**Penelope has made weight and is ready to go to her new forever home. She is healthy and super loving. This sweet girl wil fall asleep on your chest and snuggle all night long if you let her. **

Evanora

Available for adoption

Evanora was transferred to Miami Hedgehog Rescue from another exotic rescue. She was surrendered because she was not the friendliest hedgie. We have been working with her and she is making a lot of progress in the time she has been with us. She is about 8 months old. She LOVES exploring and she is a more active hedgehog. Evanora is looking for a home that will allow her to roam around large areas since she is happiest doing so. She came in with some sores and bruises so she is getting medical attention while she's waiting for her  forever home. As a very energetic little girl, she needs a lot of stimulation so she doesn't get bored and self harm.

Waffles

Available

Waffles was surrendered by his owner when he needed medical help. His eye was completely  swollen and prolapsed due to trauma. After several vet visits and medication, his eye  has healed up nicely. He completely lost his eye but he gets along fine. Waffles has one follow up visit left with the Vet in April then he will be available to go to his new forever home. He has a sweet personality, cute mismatched ears and loves to run around the house. He's also a great cuddler! He's a young hedgehog less than 6 months old.
